All our firewood is below 20% moisture and a mix of oak and ash providing excellent heat output and a beautiful long lasting flame. Our firewood comes from locally managed woodlands where we have either removed dead and dying trees or removed excess stock as part of thinning operations.

Storing your firewood - The main aim is to keep it dry! our large net bags keep most of the moisture out which typically only needs covering on the top. For the loose loads; keep them off the floor and stacked against a wall with a a tarpaulin over the top. Or give us a call about our custom made log sheds made from larch trees we cut ourselves!

How much do i need? - Most of our clients use 2-3 bags over the winter period burning 5-6 logs of an evening. Some of them are burning considerably more heating the house 24/7 and cooking with it over the winter more suited to our loose loads tipped on the driveway
